Charging current up to 70A and PV voltage up to 250V
The SmartSolar 250/70-TR MPPT charge controller can charge a battery with a lower nominal voltage from
a PV panel with a higher nominal voltage. The controller automatically adjusts to a nominal battery voltage of 12.24 or 48V
(a software tool is required to select 36V).
Ultra fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Especially when it is cloudy and the light intensity is constantly changing,
an ultra-fast MPPT controller improves energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10%
for comparison with slower MPPT controllers.
Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of varying shade
In the case of varying shade, the power-voltage curve may contain two or more maximum power points.
Conventional MPPTs mostly utilize local MPP, which may not be the optimal MPP.
The innovative BlueSolar algorithm always maximizes the energy yield by using the optimal MPP.
Excellent conversion efficiency
No cooling fan. The maximum efficiency is more than 98%.
Flexible loading algorithm
Fully programmable loading algorithm (see the software page on our website) and eight pre-programmed
load algorithms selectable with a rotary switch (see manual for details).
Comprehensive electronic security
Over-temperature protection and power reduction at high temperatures. Protection against PV short circuit
and reverse PV polarity. Protection against PV reverse current.
Internal temperature sensor
Compensates for absorption and float voltage according to temperature.
Bluetooth Smart built-in: no dongle required
The wireless solution to set up, monitor and update the controller via App
Remote on-off
For example for connection to a VE.BUS BMS.
Programmable relay
Can be programmed (e.g. via a smartphone) to be activated by an alarm or other events.
Optional: linkable LC display
To do this, remove the rubber seal that protects the plug on the front of the controller and connect the display to it.
