Not as powerful as I expected. Review by Pontus
Rating
Just tried to use those cells as an alternative to LiPo pouch cells. My application is a 3m aerobatic RC-plane.
Pack of 12s5p (20 Ah 43,2 V).
I had calculated a burst power (10 seconds) of some 220 A at 40 to 41 V under load. That’s just 11 C. Quite disappointed to read only 175 Amps at 38 V at about 85% SOC. Only 6,6 kW output from a 4,2 kg battery. And very rapid heating of the pack too. By calculation, I find the cell iR to be in the region of at least 20 mOhm. Much worse than expected. Typical for a LiPo cell of similar weight is between 4 to 7 mOhm. I put 3 stars as I think those cells are still good for less peak-power requirements. (Posted on 09-07-23)
