The charger does not work well because when I do the mA capacity test it remains blocked on 1% and shows me a capacity of 5500mA and goes up even more and I have to remove the battery from the charger even when I refresh but not on all the batteries. I know why the panasonic also sony recovered from notebooks and also the 0v function does not activate it makes me beep without stopping. it was better if I took the skirc mc3000 charger with 40 euros more, which was perhaps better than the xtar dragon plus. I'm disappointed and didn't expect to cheat myself (Posted on 05-02-21) - Xtar VP4+ Dragon Review by IiHoo

My rule of thumb for AA NiMH cells is
up to 50 mOhm – can be considered brand new
between 50-100 mOhm – start loosing capacity slowly – still good for high drain apps (~ 1.5 Amp)
more than 100 – quick capacity loss – no good for high drain apps, still good for low drain apps (< 500 mA)
Have a nice purchase !!
bien à vous

1) Internal resistance/voltmeter is very good, purchase it ! purchase this charger only for this feature !!
2) I consider RI a superb indicator of battery quality/age.
RI = Internal resistance
3) The RI is measured with a short 1A current pulse
4) Other feature
Otherwise, it works like any other charger, except it is bigger, beautiful, % instead of voltage indication, etc, etc;
CONCLUSION = the Ferrari for charger's Fan like me

Opus BT-C3100 is for the LAB, technically the best, it is a technician tool
Xtar VP4 Plus Dragon is handsome, pratical, , novice use, simple but less possibility

Inacurate % : it shows 48% capacity on a fully charged ni mh "3400 mA with only 436 mA of discharge. It is completely wrong ! It should display 1700 mA instead .
Anyway, I use it everyday !! I am happy of my purchase.

1) Nkon Service
Very good as usual
2) Xtar VP4 Plus Dragon Battery Charger
Is it the best ? It is the most beautiful, the "sexy" battery charger of the market (for those who think a Battery is as sexy as a women..)..Opus BT-C3100 (versie 2.2) is not as beautiful, but also one the best, one of the most reliable ( I use it since 2 years). The solution ? Purchase both !

Do not try to charge lisoci2 cells (like saft ls14500 or tadiran sl-760) this are not rechargabel cells and will explode if you charge them
