Acebeam X80-GT - 32500 Lumen

The X80 is one of Acebeam's most stunning creations, but it was not enough. Acebeam decided to improve it. So here comes the X80-GT!

This trailblazing "soda can" produces 32500 ANSI/FL1 lumen. The X80-GT uses 18 XHP50.2 LED's to do that. Even though it does not have a deep reflector it still has a beam distance of up to 369 meters. It will not surprise anyone that the X80-GT will get very hot in high and turbo modes, so be careful with that.

The X80-GT comes with 4 Acebeam high drain 18650 lithium batteries with protection circuit, that unfortunately are not always able to sustain Max Turbo for more than a few seconds. The X80-GT will then go dark, because the protection-circuit of the batteries is triggered.

A battery with protection-circuit that will be able to maintain Max Turbo until the X80-GT steps down to 4000 Lumen is the Keeppower 18650 3000mAh - 15A protected. Please find it in the upper left corner of the screen under related products.

The X80-GT can be mounted on a tripod to light up your work space.

Klein monster. Review by Edwin Snoek

I had ordered the original X80 for a few months ago at Nkon and was already very impressed by this lamp. When I saw that Nkon was also going to deliver the X80GT, I ordered the lamp immediately when he came in. I have tested the lamp tonight and the light image surpasses the original X80 amply. It is simply phenomenal to see what a wall of intense white light comes from this lamp.

Because there are now 6 XHP 70.2 LEDs placed in the middle of this lamp, the light image is even bigger and more even. It is really a flood lamp that creates a sea of light for 180 degrees around you. I have laughed again several times, because the light output is so high and so big.

All that lumen violence has the reverse side, that the lamp can be heated very quickly. And by that I mean really hot, so you can not grab him anymore. There is now a lever supplied with the lamp, so that you no longer need to get in touch with the lamp with your hands, which is a sensible choice of Acebeam.

Personally, I never let the lamp become so hot that the lamp itself begins to intervene and controls the light output downwards. Because when you do that, the lamp becomes too hot in my opinion, but also the batteries become too hot, which does not promote the lifespan. When the lamp in my hand gets so hot that I can hardly grasp it, I switch the lamp back to a lower light setting. This way the batteries last much longer and the chance of defects is smaller. I use the Turbo stands for a short while and to enjoy the total light output. The 8000 lumen position can burn much longer without being overheated. And this stand already gives a lot of light. But the low light modes are also very good and useful.

My final conclusion is that I am very satisfied with the X80GT. I think it's a big LED lamp enthusiast, being a beautiful lamp that certainly should not be missing in my collection. But you have to use this lamp with common sense, then you can enjoy it a lot. I am in any case a big fan of this lamp. (Posted on 29-07-18)
